In EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY, a group of subjects as similar as possible to the EXPERIMENTAL GROUP for purposes of comparison. They share the same conditions as the experimental group except exposure to the EXPERIMENTAL VARIABLE which is the object of the study.
