Psychobabble

A term introduced in the 1970s by R.D.Rosen to describe a simple-minded quick fix. usually for an emotional need or problem, couched in pseudo-scientific terms with ‘a light dusting of PSYCHOLOGY’. My favourite is the Whole Brain Wave Form Synchro-Energizer. As the purpose of these quack remedies is the highly rational one of making money for their inventors they don’t quite qualify as PSYCHOCERAMICS.
