Occam’s Razor

A principle, suggested by the medieval philosopher William of Occam, that has been accepted as fundamental to scientific explanation: if there are rival explanations for a given PHENOMENON the simplest must always be chosen. LLOYD MORGAN’S CANON is fashioned from the same material as OCCAM’S RAZOR.
